OM SYSTEM RecMic
OM SYSTEM RecMic and RecMic II microphones, formerly Olympus, are professional USB dictation microphones for desktop dictation and speech recognition use.
- Designed for professional dictation in medical, legal and business environments.
- May be used with ODMS R8 / ODMS Pro depending on the package and configuration.
- Suitable for supported third-party speech recognition applications.
- A practical option for users who prefer the OM SYSTEM dictation environment.
SpeechMike Premium: now ready for dictation and desk-based conversations
Philips SpeechMike Premium devices have traditionally been used for desktop dictation and real-time speech recognition. Selected compatible SpeechMike Premium devices now include conversation mode, extending the microphone into desk-based conversation capture.
When the device is placed on the desk, it can switch to conversation mode. When it is picked up again, it returns to dictation mode. This helps professionals move between normal dictation and AI documentation capture without changing the device they already know.
This is especially useful for professionals exploring AI scribe or Ambient Voice Technology use at the desk. For broader multi-speaker, meeting-room, consultation or ambient recording scenarios, SpeechMike Ambient remains the better-positioned device.
Compatibility note: Conversation mode applies to selected Philips SpeechMike Premium, Premium Touch and Premium Air devices manufactured after June 2021 and updated to the required firmware. Some models are excluded, including LFH3600 Series and SMP3810.
