VoiceX has recently been advised by Nuance Australia of the following end-of-life / end-of-support notice for the Australian and New Zealand editions of Dragon Legal Version 15 Speech Recognition Software Range.
"Nuance is constantly evaluating its product portfolio to see how we can best meet the needs of our customers and business. After much consideration, we have made the decision to discontinue the Australian English and New Zealand English editions of Dragon Legal Individual and Dragon Legal Group (“Software”).
The Software is being discontinued effective 30 September 2020 and will no longer be available for purchase.
Current customers of the Software will no longer receive updates to the Australian or New Zealand Legal options. The General English options – which include Australian and New Zealand selections – will continue to be supported in the Software. The US Legal language option will also continue to be supported.
Customers may still receive support via the usual channels for up to 210 days from date of activating the Software. Your statutory rights are not affected. Customers who have purchased the Software benefit from a perpetual license to the Software and may continue using the Software. Nuance will no longer provide updates for the Software after 30 September 2020 and the Nuance support team will adhere to supporting the Software according to the support policies outlined above. In addition, customers will continue to have access to the Nuance Dragon Knowledgebase for online resources."
Please note that your product will continue to operate as it is a perpetual license. For users with a valid Maintenance and Support agreement will continue receiving technical support by VoiceX as per normal. Future upgrade assurance offers for Dragon Legal Group will be ceased. However, options to move to upgrade assurance for Dragon Professional Group will be provided to applicable sites.
