Dragon Professional Anywhere Essentials provides the same cloud professional speech recognition software as Dragon Professional Anywhere +. Dictate your own words directly into documents, emails, reports, forms and supported Windows applications using a personal cloud Dragon speech profile.
Essentials is designed for experienced Dragon users and organisations that do not require personalised end-user training or ongoing VoiceX support. The subscription includes account provisioning and 30 days of limited VoiceX technical assistance.

Existing users can continue using Dragon Professional Anywhere during the supported period, and VoiceX can still supply or renew subscriptions where the product meets an immediate requirement. For new deployments, we recommend comparing the longer-term alternatives before purchasing.

Dragon Professional Anywhere
One named-user cloud professional speech recognition subscription for 12 months.
Personal cloud profile
Custom words, AutoTexts and user settings remain associated with the authorised user's Dragon profile.
VoiceX provisioning
VoiceX creates the subscription and user profile and provides the required access information.
30 days support
Limited VoiceX technical assistance is included for the first 30 days after activation.
Essentials does not include personalised end-user training or ongoing unlimited support.
Assistance outside the included support period and any requested end-user training can be provided separately by VoiceX at the applicable support or training rate.
Professional speech recognition
Dictate your own words directly into your Windows applications.
Dragon Professional Anywhere is designed for real-time, single-speaker speech recognition. The user speaks into a suitable microphone, Dragon processes the speech through the user's cloud profile and the recognised text appears in the active application.
Users can personalise vocabulary with specialist terminology, create reusable AutoTexts and use Dragon commands to reduce repetitive keyboard and mouse tasks.
The same authorised user can access their cloud Dragon profile from multiple compatible Windows computers.
Licensing & administration
VoiceX manages the standard subscription administration.
Standard VoiceX Dragon Professional Anywhere subscriptions do not include customer access to the Nuance Management Center. VoiceX manages licence provisioning and the required subscription administration on your behalf.
Separate central administration options can be reviewed for organisations with a specific requirement for their own management environment.

What Dragon Professional Anywhere does — and what it does not.
Named-user licence
Each user requires their own licensed Dragon profile. Profiles should not be shared between users.
Windows platform
Dragon Professional Anywhere uses a Windows client and does not provide native macOS speech recognition.
Mobile app discontinued
The former Dragon Anywhere Mobile app has been discontinued and is no longer part of the Dragon Professional Anywhere pathway.
Designed for one speaker
Dragon Professional Anywhere recognises the licensed user's own dictation. It is not designed for meetings, interviews or other multi-speaker conversations.
Speech recognition, not AI document creation
Dragon Professional Anywhere converts the user's spoken words into text. It does not analyse information and create a structured professional document automatically.
Limited VoiceX support
Essentials includes 30 days of limited VoiceX support. Personalised training and ongoing unlimited support are not included.

System Requirements
Dragon Professional Anywhere uses a Windows client connected to the Dragon cloud speech recognition service. The user's speech profile and recognition processing are cloud-based, while the Dragon client and supported integration components run on the Windows computer.

VoiceX recommendation
For a new workstation, VoiceX recommends a current Windows 11 computer with sufficient processor and memory capacity for Dragon and the other applications the user runs throughout the day. Citrix, Remote Desktop, virtual desktops, restrictive network security and specialist applications should be reviewed before deployment.
