SpeechLive Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the use of SpeechLive subscription services and any associated add-ons, including Speech Recognition and Transcription Services, provided by VoiceX Communications Pty Ltd (“VoiceX”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) as an authorized reseller of SpeechLive by Philips Speech Processing Solutions in Australia.

3. Subscription and Pricing Details

3.1 Subscription Plans

Subscription plans and add-ons (Speech Recognition & Transcription Services) are detailed on voicex.com.au/speechlive or as individually quoted to the client.

3.2 Billing and Payment Terms

  • Subscriptions are invoiced annually.
  • New SpeechLive and Speech Recognition licenses may be added during the subscription period and will be co-termed and invoiced pro-rata.
  • Dragon licenses must be purchased upfront for 12 months and have their own expiry date.

3.3 Automatic Renewals and Expiry

  • Accounts are set to manual renewal each year by default.
  • Renewal instructions must be provided at least 7 days before expiry to avoid access restrictions.
  • Late renewals may take up to 48 hours for reactivation.

4. Support and Service Levels

VoiceX provides setup, troubleshooting, user training, and first-line support for SpeechLive.

For development issues, software bugs, or hosting outages, issues are escalated to SpeechLive’s development team in Vienna.

4.1 Incident Prioritization & Response Times

  • High Priority: Critical system failures (Response: 2 business hours)
  • Medium Priority: Issues affecting multiple users (Response: 4 business hours)
  • Low Priority: Minor or non-critical issues (Response: 1 business day)

Support Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (AEST)

5. Data Privacy & Security

VoiceX does not store, manage, or access client dictations. Only billing and contact details are collected for account management.

All SpeechLive data is encrypted and stored using Microsoft Azure’s Australian data centers. Read more on SpeechLive Security.

6. Cancellations & Refunds

6.1 Cancellation Process

Clients must provide written notice at least 7 days before expiry to cancel their subscription. Cancellations should be sent to accounts@voicex.com.au. No refunds are available.

6.2 Refund Policy

No refunds are available once a subscription has been activated.

7. Liability & Disclaimers

7.1 Intellectual Property Rights

All intellectual property rights in SpeechLive services are owned by Philips Speech Processing Solutions. Clients are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use these services.

7.2 Acceptable Use Policy

Clients agree not to use SpeechLive for unlawful activities, transmitting harmful code, or infringing intellectual property rights.

7.3 Limitation of Liability

VoiceX is not liable for direct or indirect damages arising from SpeechLive use. Total liability under this agreement shall not exceed the amount paid by the client for the subscription in the previous 12 months.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This Agreement is governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Victoria, Australia.
