System requirements

SpeechExec Enterprise License Server requires the following hardware specifications to function properly:

Supported operating systems

SpeechExec Enterprise License Server supports the following operating systems:

All operating systems require to have the latest available Service Pack installed.

Note: The following operating systems are no longer supported:

SpeechExec Enterprise License Server also requires that you have Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 installed. If it is not present on your system, it will be installed automatically during SpeechExec installation.

Note: For Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 to be installed automatically, you must start the SpeechExec installation by launching the setup.exe. Depending on your PC, installing Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 may take some time.

Windows Terminal Server/Citrix session must be run at least in Hi-Color (16-bit).

Installing Enterprise License Server

For installing the Enterprise License Server, follow the instructions below:

  1. Install Enterprise License Server from the software install files.

  2. Open the Enterprise License Server port (13667 by default. You can change this value in the registy in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Philips Speech\SpeechExec\Enterprise.LicenseServer\Port.)

  3. Ensure that the service SpeechExec Enterprise License Server Service is running by checking its status in Control Panel/Administration Tools/Services.

Configuring Enterprise License Server

For using SpeechExec Enterprise Dictate, SpeechExec Enterprise Transcribe and SpeechExec Enterprise Manager, first you have to install Enterprise License Server. Follow the instructions below to perform the installation:

  1. Start SpeechExec Enterprise License Manager.

  2. Enter the address and password of the licence server that you want to connect to.

  3. Export a licence request file by selecting Export licence request file from the License menu.

  4. Send the exported file to Speech Processing Solutions GmbH.

  5. Select Import licence file from the License menu and select the file that you have received from Speech Processing Solutions GmbH.

  6. After successful import, you can manage the existing sessions of your users or workstations, which depend on the type of the license that your company requested.

  7. After setting up the licenses, quit the application by selecting Exit from the Server menu.


Known problems

Installation

On 64-bit Windows operating systems you have to install .NET Framework 4.8 manually before running the setup in order to be able to install the application. The .NET Framework 4.8 64-bit installation packages can be found in the install files under the Tools\Microsoft .NET Framework\64bit directory.
